Mountain West: Who cares
A few notes from the day:
1. That was a different looking SEC Championship. Back and forth and forth and back. No defense at all. Missouri did show me something, too bad it's over. Auburn deserves to be in the National Championship. Some may say future of the SEC is here, and any team that is not trying to play an up-tempo style will start to get left behind. There is no defensive answer to up-tempo and any up-tempo team that can make a few stops a game on D, ie Auburn, will be extremely hard to beat. But it is still a line of scrimmage game as we have seen all year and where does the SEC excel in recruiting? Offensive and defensive lines. The future will continue to look a lot like the past. Auburn's offensive line is no joke.
2. Florida State looked a little wanky on offense in the first half. The FSU defense held tough though. That defense is better than Missouri's or Auburn's.
3. If only Baylor had beat Oklahoma State we could have avoided the whole Ohio State lunacy. Damn you Bears. Line of scrimmage went to the Cowboys on that day.
4. Stanford looked like a national champion didn't they? Dominance. Defensive line was in the backfield all night from what I saw.
5. EAT IT YOU BUCK-EYE BASTARDS!! You sons of bitches forgot one thing on your way to a national championship, you gotta win all your games!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'll be laughing about this all week!!!! Put some decent teams on the schedule and maybe you won't be blind sided when you play someone worth a damn. HAHAHAHAHAHA Michigan State won short yardage at the line, the defense looked really good and Connor Cook has grown up a lot. MSU also knew they had to throw the ball on that Buckeye defense and had a great game plan. I have never been more happy to be wrong about a prediction! JUSTICE!!!
FLORIDA STATE AND AUBURN!!!! There's a National Championship Game!!!

The conference performances changed a little as the B10 actually tied the B12 for 3rd. ACC stays the worst.
Record | Rank | L in Conf | Rank | v. Top 25 | Rank | Overall | Rank | |
B10 | 86-60, 58.9 | 0.8 | 49, 82% | 0.4 | 4-30, 12% | 0.2 | 1.4 | 3 |
B12 | 67-53, 56 | 0.2 | 45, 85% | 0.6 | 5-23, 18% | 0.6 | 1.4 | 3 |
ACC | 98-72, 57.6 | 0.4 | 57, 79% | 0.2 | 4-27, 13% | 0.4 | 1 | 5 |
Pac12 | 86-61, 58.5 | 0.6 | 55, 90% | 1 | 13-37, 26.0% | 0.8 | 2.4 | 2 |
SEC | 104-66, 61 | 1 | 57, 86% | 0.8 | 15-42, 26.3% | 1 | 2.8 | 1 |
So who do I say are the best teams:
1 | Auburn | 20.89 |
2 | Stanford | 17.98 |
3 | Alabama | 17.95 |
4 | FSU | 17.50 |
5 | Missouri | 16.51 |
6 | South Carolina | 16.14 |
7 | Baylor | 15.79 |
8 | Michigan State | 15.30 |
9 | Arizona State | 14.59 |
10 | Oregon | 13.73 |
11 | Oklahoma St. | 12.73 |
12 | Ohio State | 12.48 |
13 | Clemson | 10.44 |
How can you argue with that top 4? 3 conference champions and Alabama. Anyone going to pick Michigan State or Baylor over Bama? So I would feel very confident with a 4 team play-off of Auburn, Bama, Stanford, and FSU. But if we are just looking at #1 and #2, it's hard to argue with the Conference Champions of the Pac12 and the SEC....but I'll take FSU for an entertaining game.
AUBURN AND FSU!!!
EAT IT YOU BUCKEYE BASTARDS!!!! I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!
